Question 8:

What can I eat after my gastric bypass operation

Following your gastric bypass operation, a few teaspoons will be normal at a meal time. A good visual idea is using half a wheatbix biscuit or a child's fromage frais. We require all your food in the first few week to be a smooth puree, there are three words I ask you to always remember, speed, volume and texture. The key is small amounts that are smooth with no lumps and any requirement for chewing that you then take very slowly. We recommend that you keep flavour in your food as it would help you with satisfaction.
