Question 13:

What is the rate of weight loss after surgery?

After a gastric bypass operation your weight loss will be very rapid in the first three months. However this will then slow up as you approach six and then nine months post surgery. Some centers quote that you will loose a stone a month but this will not happen over the whole year and in the first few months it is likely to occur but then will dramatically slow.
