Question 11:

Its been nearly six months since my operation. Will I ever eat normally again?

Over the cause of the first year, the amount of food you can eat after your roux-en-y gastric bypass will steadily increase. However some foods such as meat, pasta, rice and bread, maybe be problematic for many years for some patients. However, you must remember that the aim of the surgery is to help you loose a significant amount of weight and then to maintain that weight loss so if you return to the old eating habits it is likely you will not maintain your weight loss very well.
