Streamline Surgical provides a lifetime after-care programme for every patient at the Harrow Healthcare Centre in Middlesex.
Our patients benefit from getting the best care as the Harrow Healthcare Centre is the first GP practice with a dedicated bariatric service. This means the GPs and nurses that you continue to see throughout your care are specialists in obesity and are headed up by the ‘Fat Doctor’ himself, Mr. Shaw Somers.
The all-inclusive package comprises a comprehensive care plan in addition to surgery including:
- Unlimited gastric band adjustments for 12 months
- A 24 hour emergency helpline
- Regular contact with the bariatric dietician and nurse through clinic visits
- Post-operative access to a psychotherapist
- The ability to book tailored appointments for subsequent visits to clinic
- Access to your surgeon if clinically indicated
- Guidance and support on emotional eating from our dieticians and pyschotherapists
The aftercare is managed by a team of doctors with a specialist interest in bariatric medicine. We offer appropriately equipped premises, in a private environment with aftercare by GPs who understand the medical, psychological and social issues around obesity and the needs of bariatric patients.
